Configuration: Grandstream GXW-4008

1. Connection

The Grandstream analogue telephone adapter GXW-4008/GXW-4004 was successfully tested by sipgate.

Please use this guide to setup your Grandstream with sipgate Team.

2. Login

Connect your PC to the GXW-4008 adapter using the LAN port. Connect the power to the GXW-4008 and open a web browser on your PC.

Enter the IP address http://192.168.2.1 your computer"s web browser to access the Web Interface.

You will now need to login to the adapter.
The default (or factory) password is admin.

4. Test your configuration

How to test whether your device is working properly:

Method 1:

Call 10000 from your device. You will hear an automated announcement.

Method 2:

Call your sipgate phone number from a landline phone. You can find your sipgate phone number under 'My settings'.

How to test the call quality:

Call 10005 (sip:10005@sipgate.de) from your device to carry out an echo test. This test allows you to check whether your device is configured properly, as well the quality of the connection. Please leave a short voice message (maximum 30 seconds). The system will then immediately play back the message to you. Your message will automatically be deleted after playback.
