1. Connection

This guide will help you to setup your Snom firmware version 8 deskphone for use with sigpate Team.
For firmware versions 6 & 7, click here.

2. Login

This guide assumes that DHCP is enabled on your local network, so that your Snom automatically obtains an IP address from your router.

To find out your Snom"s IP Address, press the Menu key and select Maintenance --> System Info.

To access your Snom"s web configuration menu, enter the Snom"s IP Address in your computer"s web browser e.g. "http://192.168.0.10" or "192.168.0.10".

4. Test your configuration
How to test whether your device is working properly:

Method 1:

Call 10000 from your device. You will hear an automated announcement.

Method 2:

Call your sipgate phone number from a landline phone. You can find your sipgate phone number under 'My settings'.

How to test the call quality:

Call 10005 (sip:10005@sipgate.de) from your device to carry out an echo test. This test allows you to check whether your device is configured properly, as well the quality of the connection. Please leave a short voice message (maximum 30 seconds). The system will then immediately play back the message to you. Your message will automatically be deleted after playback.
